I started my career in the insurance world in 2015 and spent eight years learning the ins and outs of the industry. It was a good experience, but I noticed most companies were more about sales than helping people long term.

In October 2022, my wife and I went independent. This gave us more freedom, but we still saw the same problem. People were sold quick policies with no real plan behind them.

Through networking, we connected with a client-focused financial planning firm that shares our values. Their approach is all about education, trust, and building long-term plans that actually work. This partnership allows us to connect trades business owners and families with planners who help protect what they have built, keep more of their money, and plan for the future.

On a personal note, I come from a family of trades: carpenters, welders, fence builders, curbing specialists, and mechanics. I’ve worked alongside family in each of these trades, spent four seasons in the construction industry, and even cleared a quarter-mile driveway of mature trees to spread and level 200 yards of gravel. I built our own four-season tiny home where we spent three years on 70 acres in the middle of a forest, an hour north of Winnipeg.   

Currently, we live in Landmark, MB, and we plan to build our full-sized home on an acreage again, with some help, in 2026 to 2027. That is why I really connect with trades business owners and their families. I understand how hard you work for what you have built, and my job is to help you protect it, keep more of your money in your pocket, and plan ahead so you have options down the road.
